Wedding Cake Main and Garden [1]
A dream come true!
Reviewed on 2023-06-14 by Briana M. , Morgantown, WV USI stayed here for the weekend leading up to my wedding day and we were all blown away by the beauty of this home! The decorations made us feel like we’re transported back in time. It had the perfect amount of space for large groups and was spotless upon arrival. I used the day room upstairs attached to the master bedroom for my bridal portraits and they look like they are straight out of a magazine!! So grateful we found this gem!!
Girls get together
Reviewed on 2023-05-03 by , chesapeake, VA USExcellent! Please have maintenance replace 3 can lights in kitchen, TV remote batteries and dresser lamp light in 2nd floor bedroom. My friends were in the other rooms so someone just needs to go through the house and check light replacements and batteries. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay at this wonderful property!

Electricity & Heat
Reviewed on 2022-03-30 by Tom C. , Louisville, KY USSuggestions: Put more towels in bedrooms, fix tiolet on 4th floor back bedroom that keeps running, & fix sreen door on back porch that doesn't close.
The problems we had keeps us from giving a better review. I will stay with VRBO, but not with Luxury Living.
The Wedding Cake Mansion is a beautiful home with a good location. Everything was going good until the electricity & heat went out Sat. morning. it was a mess after that. Dealing with Luxury Living was not fun. They did give us a $500 refund which dsid not cover one half days rent.
Suggestions: Put more towels in bedrooms, fix tiolet on 4th floor back bedroom that keeps running, & fix sreen door on back porch that doesn't close.
The problems we had keeps us from giving a better review. Spacious home in a wonderful location
Reviewed on 2022-01-04 by , Charlotte, NC USBelated 60th birthday celebration for my husband. There were 9 of us and we could have easily had 4 more guests. We were able to walk everywhere. The house was so nice and comfortable we really enjoyed staying in for several evenings. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook. Especially loved the room with the curved windows and window seat on the front of the house. Suzanne (the property manager) was very responsive to any questions we had.. would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Family Reunion House and Location
Reviewed on 2021-10-21 by Spring R. , Sanibel, FL United StatesEveryone had their own space, but the common areas were large and perfect for gathering. The proximity to Forsyth Park and the Bull Street shops and restaurants was ideal. The only drawback was the very confusing parking situation, for a family with 6 cars! I believe the city of Savannah is doing everyone a great disservice with the current system.
Wonderful, elegant and well equipped
Reviewed on 2020-10-19 by Randall S. , San Francisco , CA USI had the opportunity to stay in this spacious, beautifully appointed manse and am so pleased. It is everything it is advertised to be, tastefully decorated, great separation of space, and a wonderful variety of living spaces. Definitely the palce for a larger family or group!
Perfect for a small executive meeting!
Reviewed on 2018-04-27 by Cindy C. , Savannah, GA United StatesI wanted to get my new team of regional directors together in a relaxed environment but also to be conducive for work. The Mansion was PERFECT! They loved everything about the place and of course fell in love with Savannah. It was perfect for our purpose and they have asked to make this a standing meeting.

The prized 'Wedding Cake Mansion' is the jewel of Monterey Square and is unquestionably one of the most beautiful squares in Savannah. Graced by mansions on all corners, the area is lush with Live Oaks draped in picturesque Spanish Moss and anchored by historic monuments.
One of Savannah’s most photographed historic mansions was saved from decay and fully restored by an award winning team of architects & designers. Live in the lap of luxury that few experience on Monterey Square in one of our country's most magical cities.
This 1869 2nd Empire Baroque Mansion takes your breath the minute you see it. The elaborate white bay window is so ornately decorated with stained glass windows and ornamental iron work that the long time residents of Savannah have always said it resembles an elegantly decorated 'wedding cake'. This architecture is very unique to Savannah with only a few examples remaining in the Historic District. The French influence is carried throughout the house with vintage French antiques and art. The bedrooms are a resplendent escape and the en-suite bathrooms offer every luxurious accouterments expected from the savvy, refined traveler.
The MAIN house 7 bedrooms all with private bathrooms. There are 3 bedrooms and bathrooms on the top/4th floor. In the middle open space, there is a large desk for anyone who needs computer time.
Two bedrooms and bathrooms including the Primary Suite on the 3rd floor. There is also a small kitchen with stove, refrigerator and sink.
The 2nd floor, called The Parlor Level in historic homes, has the main large kitchen, dining room and living room areas. This is your general gathering space! There is a smart TV in the sitting area next to kitchen AND in the living room.
The ground floor, also called the Garden Suite (can be a separately rented) has 2 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. The bathrooms are in the hallway and one has a walk-in shower. The other has a soaking tub, but is NOT a stand up shower.
This is a fully equipped apartment with a full kitchen and private living room. In photos you will see the stairs that lead up to the 2nd floor from the garden level. There is a back door to the patio and courtyard as well.
All bedrooms have either queen or king beds and new smart TVs. We do not have cable but you are ready to stream your favorite apps.
The mansion has 2 full-size sets of washers & dryers. One on the ground floor and the 2nd set on the 3rd floor. Guests are welcome to use these.
