The Washington Square Carriage House, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath Carriage House accommodating up to six guests, is on Savannah's picturesque Washington Square 2 blocks from River Street!
This square, on Houston Street, is near the site of the old Trustees Garden. It was named for George Washington. For many years, until the mid-20th Century, this square was the scene of the biggest New Year's Eve bonfires, many often taller than the houses around the square. The Seaman's House, operated by the Port Society to serve the needs of visiting seaman, is on the southwest side of the square.
Note: When combined with the four bedroom, four bath Washington Square House, which sleeps up to 10, the entire property provides comfortable accommodations for up to 16 guests.
