Luxury Living Savannah Offers Elegant, European-Style
Accommodations for Discerning Travelers
SAVANNAH, Ga. - Luxury Living Savannah, the region's premier luxury accommodations company, offers discerning travelers the opportunity to experience the historic elegance of Savannah, Ga. and the beachfront charm of Tybee Island, Ga.
"Our company is inspired by a European concept of travel," said Tammy Jo Long, president of Luxury Living Savannah. "It's more like staying at a private villa in Italy or a manor house in Scotland. Our properties have a personal flair, where travelers can get a taste of the local culture and how people live in Savannah."
Long founded Luxury Living Savannah in 2003, after working for 20 years as a top sales and business development executive for companies like Oracle and Sears. In 2001, this Kentucky native, who has lived in Chicago for the past 20 years, decided that she wanted to purchase and renovate a home in Savannah's National Landmark Historic District for future retirement.
"I've always been addicted to Southern architecture," she said. "I must have been Scarlett O'Hara in my first life because I've always been consumed with the South, from art and literature to furnishing and architecture."
She purchased a historic property at 109 W. Jones, in the heart of the city's National Landmark Historic District, renovated the building's five apartments, and figured that she would rent the units until she was ready to retire. However, she quickly discovered that short-term executive rentals offered a better return on her investment than long-term lease-driven rentals.
"Once I tried to rent the property as corporate rentals, it immediately took off," she said. "I found that there was a tremendous market for travelers looking for an alternative to hotels and B&B's."
Long, a Southern architecture aficionado has converted a number of endangered historic properties once scheduled for demolition into exquisite executive rentals, offering a new level of luxury accommodations for discriminating travelers. Custom-designed linens and towels from Singapore, French milled soaps and gourmet coffee are just some of the distinctive touches that make Luxury Living Savannah's properties unique.
Luxury Living Savannah has spared no expense to create charming, private, historic accommodations with optional indulgences like a private chef, private tour, airport pick-up or in-house massage available upon request.
